Society is powerfully questioning how it can retain its humanity as technology is continuously evolving, especially since machinery is providing both social benefits and consequences in modern society and the future. That thought-provoking debate over the advantages of technology is showcased in the new official, full-length trailer for the anticipated sequel, ‘Blade Runner 2049.’ The trailer debuted this morning during a Live Q&A and Trailer Debut Event at the IMAX Playa Vista in Los Angeles.
‘Blade Runner 2049’s stars, Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, and director Denis Villeneuve were in attendance at the event, during which they answered questions about the sci-fi film from the audience. The Q&A and Trailer Debut Event was hosted in support of the second installment’s upcoming release. Warner Bros. Pictures is set to distribute the follow-up in 3D and 2D in select theaters and IMAX on October 6.
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the following synopsis for ‘Blade Runner 2049‘:
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for the past three decades.
