The Transformers and their human counterparts are preparing for more destruction in the new character and international posters for the upcoming sequel, ‘The Last Knight.’ In the live-action follow-up’s latest posters, the title alien robots and their supposed human enemies, including Mark Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager and Anthony Hopkins’ Sir Edmund Burton, are taking a stance to protect their respective races against further harm and conflict.
The newly released posters are helping to promote ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’s distribution in theaters on June 23 by Paramount Pictures. The action-adventure movie, which was shot with IMAX 3D cameras, was directed by Michael Bay. The anticipated fifth installment of the popular ‘Transformers’ franchise sees the return of such series stars Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro and Josh Duhamel. The sci-fi film also features newcomers to the franchise, including Hopkins, Laura Haddock, Jerrod Carmichael, Isabela Moner and Santiago Cabrera.
‘The Last Knight’ shatters the core myths of the ‘Transformers’ series, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord, Sir Edmund Burton (Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor, Vivian Wembley (Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In ‘Transformers: The Last Knight,’ the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
