Hologram USA partners with Avalon Regal Theater in Chicago. The theater would be the first of 100 new theaters to implement Hologram USA’s hologram technology for “live” performances of deceased recording artists and musicians, such as Dean Martin, Whitney Houston, and Tammy Wynette.
“If you’re going to make history, why not do it in a historic place,” Alki David, CEO and founder of Hologram USANetworks, said in a press release. “Our theaters will be the first permanent theater installation of our patented tech in the U.S., and will support and be supported all of the production and digital distribution capabilities of FilmOn and FOTV — along with their audience of 100 millions users as month.”
Hologram USA also plans to open a dedicated theater for hologram performances in Los Angeles. The upgrades to Chicago’s Avalon Regal Theater will begin to roll out on October 1.
