Understanding and controlling all aspects of your body, in an effort to maintain an overall healthier mental and physical state, is a powerful way for everyone to achieve a longer and happier life. Some of the compelling ways people’s bodies constantly work to preserve their functions are explored in ‘Biohacking,’ Shockya’s exclusive clip from the new documentary, ‘Beyond Food.’
In an effort to explain how people are always both consciously and subconsciously working to sustain their bodies, such experts as athlete-author, Gabby Reece; nutritionist-author, David Asprey; and physicist Alan Cash explain how biohacking is an important healing element in a person’s anatomy. The interviewees also further discuss how people naturally use their own biological processes to improve their health.
The movie, which was released on VOD this week by Gravitas Ventures, was helmed by Juan Paredes and Tomas Reyes. The latter, who made his feature-length film directorial and producing debuts on ‘Beyond Food,’ also narrated the documentary. In addition to Reece, Asprey and Cash, the filmmakers interviewed such people as Laird Hamilton, Mariel Hemingway, Rich Roll, Justin Mager, Noah Amparano, Glenn Elzinga, Caryl Elzinga, Nir Eyal, Steven Fowkes, Mike Gebhardt, Dr. James Hardt, Abel James, Mario Martinez, Alix Mayer, Darin Olien and Bobby Williams for the movie.
Gravitas Ventures has released the following synopsis for ‘Beyond Food’:
