As children begin disappearing in the small town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are forced to contend with their biggest fears. As they begin to ponder their peers’ mysterious vanishings, the friends soon realize that in order to defend themselves, they must fight back against an evil clown named Pennywise. The rein of terror that’s being caused by the antagonist, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries, is being chronicled in the new official trailer for the upcoming horror movie, ‘IT.’
Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema have released the latest clip for the drama, which is based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Stephen King. The feature film is the second adaptation of the book, which was initially turned into a television miniseries in 1990. The new big-screen version of the story is set to be released in theaters on September 8.
‘IT’ was directed by ‘Mama’ helmer, Andrés Muschietti. The thriller stars Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise. The drama also features an ensemble of young actors as the friends who the villain targets, including Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Nicholas Hamilton.
Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman adapted King’s novel into the screenplay for the movie. Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti served as the producers, and Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Walter Hamada, Marty P. Ewing, Doug Davison and Jon Silk worked as executive producers, on the film.
