With the release of “Avengers: Infinity War” coming up in May 2018, it’s going to be a lot of fun to see the Guardians of the Galaxy team up with the Avengers. Almost every major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will appear in the new film, which raises a lot of questions about character and story.
Simply put, there are a lot of characters in the MCU, so it’s going to be a question of screen time. I mean, how in depth can a movie go with over 50 major and minor characters.
According to Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol 2, Avengers: Infinity War will continue a lot of the story arcs from previous Marvel Studios movies.
While attending Florida SuperCon (via Comic Book), Karen Gillan revealed Avengers: Infinity War would do a deep dive into Nebula’s past. She said:
“Without giving away any spoilers. We’re definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past. And actually, we’re going to find out that it’s even worse than we know.”
The classic answer/non-answer. Of course, it’s going to continue all the story lines from past movies. That’s what makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Four years after the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the Avengers, torn apart after the events of Captain America: Civil War, join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to battle Thanos, who is trying to amass the Infinity Stones for a gauntlet that will allow him to inflict his will on all reality.
The new “Avengers” movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scalett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olson, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Sean Gunn, Tom Holland, Josh Brolin, and Paul Rudd.
“Avengers: Infinity War” hits theaters everywhere on May 4, 2018.
