Embarking on a journey that was initially obligatory may ultimately lead to a meaningful discovery of a person’s true character, as they’re forced to consider how to contend with unexpected conflict. That emotional and physical battle against opposing forces is explored in the title crusade in director Brendan Muldowney’s historical drama, ‘Pilgrimage.’
Following the movie’s World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April, RLJ Entertainment then released it in theaters and On Demand and Digital HD in August. The distributor is now set to release the action movie tomorrow on DVD and on Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. The ‘Pilgrimage’ Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will sell for an SRP of $34.97.

‘Pilgrimage’ was written by Jamie Hannigan, and stars Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal and Richard Armitage. RLJ Entertainment has released the following synopsis for the film:
Leaving his Irish monastery for the first time, a young novice, Brother Diarmuid (Holland), departs with a devoted group of monks and a mysterious former Crusader (Bernthal) as they attempt to transport a holy relic to Rome. Threatened at every turn by savage tribes, traitorous Norman soldiers and those that seek the power they believe the relic holds, the young man finds surprising courage while faced with deadly challenges that will push his body, mind and spirit to the breaking point.
