Emotional connections are being reshaped, as a family that was recently lost is finding its way back to each other, in the upcoming family film, ‘Kepler’s Dream.’ The adventure movie chronicles an estranged family’s newfound commitment to rekindling its relationships in its newly unveiled official trailer and stills.
‘Kepler’s Dream’ was co-written and directed by Amy Glazer. The drama’s script is based on the popular 2012 YA novel of the same name by Juliet Bell. The new highly anticipated screen adaptation stars Sean Patrick Flanery (‘The Boondock Saints,’ ‘Powder’), Kelly Lynch (‘Mr. Mercedes,’ ‘Charlie’s Angels’) and Holland Taylor (‘The Truman Show,’ ‘Two and-a-Half Men’). Celebrated young television actress, Isabella Blake-Thomas (‘Shameless’), makes one of her first major feature film debuts in the drama.
The movie is set to be released in theaters and On Demand platforms on December 1 by Leomark Studios. The official distribution comes after ‘Kepler’s Dream’ played at such festivals as the Sonoma International Film Festival and the Mill Valley Film Festival, where it was named the Audience Favorite (Silver).
The following synopsis for ‘Kepler’s Dream’ has been released by Leomark Studios:
Eleven-year-old Ella (Blake-Thomas) is a city girl who’s forced to spend the summer on the New Mexico ranch of her reclusive grandmother, Violet Von Stern (Taylor), while Ella’s mom, Amy (Lynch), undergoes chemotherapy in another state. As she tries to cope with her grandmother’s strict rules and snooty friends, Ella longs for her mother and begs her estranged father for rescue. But Ella’s dad, Walt (Flanery), has his own reasons to stay away from his childhood home.
So Ella instead finds allies in fatherly ranch hand, Miguel (Steven Michael Quezada), and his down-to-earth daughter, Rosie (Esperanza Fermin). But when a priceless book is stolen from Violet’s collection, Miguel is the key suspect. So Ella must find the real thief in order to save her friends.
