One of the most important aspects of guaranting survival as a prisoner of war is to never give up the hope of obtaining freedom. That’s certainly the case for one of the heroes in the historical drama, ‘Blood and Glory,’ which is being released on VOD today by Cleopatra Entertainment. In honor of its distribution, Shockya is debuting an exclusive clip from the film, which is titled ‘I’m a Farmer.’
The period epic, which is inspired by true events from South Africa’s history, was written, directed and executive produced by Sean Else. ‘Blood and Glory’ stars Charlotte Salt, Josh Myers, Andre Jacobs, Greg Kriek, Nick Cornwall and Grant Swanby.
Cleopatra Entertainment has unveiled the following synopsis for ‘Blood and Glory’:
Set in 1901, this period epic follows the life of Willem Morkel (Stian Bam), a Boer and family man whose wife and son are murdered during the Anglo-Boer War. Captured as a prisoner of war, Willem must survive incarceration in the notorious St. Helena concentration camp and defeat the ruthless Colonel Swannell (Swanby) at his own game-rugby.
