Some singers not only define a style of music, but also a way of being. That’s certainly the case for Elis Regina, who’s considered to be the greatest Brazilian singer of all time. Her career and personal life are now both being celebrated in the new biopic, ‘Elis.’ In honor of the drama being released in theaters this weekend by Cleopatra Entertainment, Shockya is premiering an exclusive clip from the film, which is titled ‘In the Studio.’
‘Elis’ was directed, co-written and co-produced by Hugo Prata. The musical movie was co-produced by Fabio Zavala, and co-written by Luiz Bolognes and Vera Egito. The biographical drama stars Andreia Horta in the title role of Elis, as well as Gustavo Machado, Caco Ciocier, Zecarlos Machado and Lucio Mauro Filho. The film is the winner of eight Cinema Brazil Grand Prizes, including best actress for Horta.
