Contending with the actions of both the heroes and their foes is a powerful motivator in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the characters in the superhero sequel, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp,’ are now up to the difficult task. In honor of the anticipated release of the action follow-up to 2015’s ‘Ant-Man,’ Marvel Studios has released six new character posters of the top players in the upcoming movie.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is set to distribute ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ in U.S. theaters on July 6. The new action film was directed by Peyton Reed, who also helmed its predecessor, and was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Paul Rudd and Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. The drama stars Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John-Kamen, Abby Ryder-Fortson, Randall Park, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne and Michael Douglas.

In the aftermath of ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ Scott Lang (Rudd), the alter-ego of Ant-Man, grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly), who’s also known as The Wasp, and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
