This summer, actresses Chloe Traicos and Christelle Baguidy are taking a killer road trip to ‘Devil’s Cove.’ The stars’ trek as outlaws is set to begin on August 3, when the drama is released on in L.A theaters. In honor of the movie’s unveiling, Shockya is premiering an exclusive clip from the award-winning thriller. The independent take on ‘Thelma & Louise’ pits an interracial lesbian couple, which just finished a killing, against a dark highway.
Composer and producer, Erik Lundmark, made his feature film directorial debut on ‘Devil’s Cove,’ which was written by Traicos. For just $10,000, the filmmakers created an electrifying indie that’s being distributed by Leomark Studios.
‘Devil’s Cove’ follows the new girl in town, Toni (Baguidy), who’s unhappy in her marriage to the vehement Rick (Cameron Barnes). Not surprisingly, her eye catches that of Jackie (Traicos), a woman who recently escaped a jail sentence involving the death of her child.
When Rick gets wind of the passionate relationship his wife is having with Jackie, he erupts into a fiery rage. In an act of self-defense, Toni and Jackie end Rick’s life. To stay out of jail, the duo hit the road – one with many twists and turns in it.
‘Devil’s Cove’ premiered at the New York City International Film Festival, where it was nominated for two Best Actress awards (for Traicos) and Best Original Screenplay. Lundmark also won a Global Accolade at the Global Accolade Awards.
