A strip club owner is unexpectedly finding herself in over her head when a 25-year-old debt to the mafia comes back to haunt her. Actress Rosemary Hochschild’s title protagonist is determinedly fighting to maintain her livelihood when actor Roger Guenveur Smith’s mob boss tries to enforce his claim over the club in the new crime drama, ‘The Queen of Hollywood Blvd.’ To highlight that enforcement, ShockYa is debuting an exclusive clip from the film, which is titled ‘Duke Comes For the Club.’
Dark Star Pictures has acquired the North American rights to ‘The Queen of Hollywood Blvd.’ The distribution company will be releasing the drama in L.A. theaters next Friday, October 12, and then On Demand on October 16. The official distribution comes after the movie premiered at the Boston Underground Film Festival earlier this year.
Orson Oblowitz made his feature film writing, directorial and producing debuts on ‘The Queen of Hollywood Blvd.’ In addition to Hochschild and Smith, the drama also stars Ana Mulvoy Ten and the late Michael Parks in his final film appearance.
