The Magical Mystery of Musigny
A still from writer-director John Meyer’s animated short, ‘The Magical Mystery of Musigny.’

John Meyer is extraordinarily being transported to the Don River in his new animated short, ‘The Magical Mystery of Musigny.’ After taking a sip of vintage 1969 wine, the filmmaker is being zipped to the Russian body of water in the movie, for which the scribe recently won the award for Best Story at the Los Angeles Animation Festival. In honor of the award, ShockYa is exclusively premiering a clip from the film.

In ‘The Magical Mystery of Musigny,’ John discovers the power of Burgundy, but has a hard time convincing his wife. But one day he finally finds a way to convince her of its allure.

In addition to penning ‘The Magical Mystery of Musigny,’ Meyer also served as the director on the short. The film marks his first experience as the writer and helmer of an animated movie. ‘The Magical Mystery of Musigny’ was animated by animation artist and music videos, web shorts and short film director, Emmett Goodman.
