Playing by their own rules, and carrying out their own form of justice, is a way of life for most residents in many small towns across America. Following their own form of hierarchy and laws is the driving force behind the community in the newly released drama, ‘Juveniles,’ which was distributed on VOD and digital this week.
In honor of the movie’s release, ShockYa is premiering an exclusive clip, which is titled ‘Sister,’ and is NSFW, due to explicit language. The clip follows actor Beau Knapp’s protagonist, Lucas Bates, as he and his friends witness his sister talking to an older guy from town, who doesn’t have the best reputation, while they’re at school. Lucas approaches the duo and threatens his rival, and warns him to not try hooking up with his sister, since she’s only 14. A fight subsequently breaks out between the two men, but a school security guard starts to break up the confrontation, they ultimately decide to settle the score when they get home.
‘Juveniles’ marks the feature film writing and directorial debut of short film and music video helmer, Nico Sabenorio. In addition to Knapp, the drama also stars Stephen Moyer (‘True Blood‘), Jessica Rothe (‘Happy Death Day‘ series), Trevor Jackson (‘SuperFly,’ ‘Grown-ish’), Kathleen Rose Perkins (‘Episodes’) and Martin Henderson (‘Grey’s Anatomy’).
‘Juveniles’ follows Lucas, a high school senior in a small town that most people never leave, but he has the potential to attend college and improve his life. However, since his father was tragically killed, Lucas feels the obligation to protect his mother and younger sister. After learning more about the circumstances surrounding his father’s death, he gets dragged into a fight that runs the risk of repeating history, and may end his own life.
