Actor Michael Billington stars in the British sci-fi television series, ‘UFO.’

Aliens are invading viewers’ screens once again, as the cult sci-fi television series, ‘UFO,’ is currently airing on Forces TV. The show, which was co-created by legendary TV and film producer, Gerry Anderson, and Sylvia Anderson, originally aired in the early 1970s, and is set in the future 1980.

The fourth episode from the first season of ‘UFO’ will be shown again tonight, from 5-6pm local time, on the Forces TV channel on Filmon TV. The episode, which is titled ‘Conflict,’ follows actor Michael Billington’s character, Colonel Paul Foster, a test pilot whose aircraft is accidentally caught up in a battle. His plane is shot down, and his co-pilot is killed.

The overall ‘UFO’ series followed a global organization called S.H.A.D.O. (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization), which defends Earth against a dying alien race. The aliens are hungry for human body parts, which will help extend their own lifespans. In its battle against extraterrestrial invaders, S.H.A.D.O. deploys submarines, lunar interceptors, ground attack vehicles, orbital detection hardware and the organization’s unforgettable Moonbase front-line defense installation, which is populated by its crew of purple-wigged operatives. In addition to Billington, ‘UFO’ also also stars Ed Bishop (‘Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons’) as Commander Ed Straker, Gabrielle Drake (‘Coronation Street’) as Lieutenant Gay Ellis, George Sewell (‘Get Carter’) as Colonel Alec Freeman and Michael as Colonel Paul Foster.

‘UFO’ an be watched live, or recorded and watched at a later time, on FilmOn’s Forces TV channel.
